Dear colleagues, members, and friends of EMA,
The Call for Nominations for the EMA Young Scientist Award 2027 is now open!
The Young Scientist Award is given annually to a young scientist for outstanding work in the field of magnetism, predominantly carried out in Europe. The nominated candidate must have defended the doctorate after February 1, 2022, with allowances for military service and parental leave. The prize includes a monetary award of €2000, an invitation to JEMS 2027 in Prague, Czech Republic, to attend the award ceremony and to present a plenary talk, and a travel allowance of €500 for this purpose.
Nominations may be made by anyone interested in the field of magnetism. Please note that candidates for the Young Scientist Award may be nominated more than once! Nominations from individuals of all genders, backgrounds, and identities are encouraged to ensure that our awards reflect the diversity of our community. All details and nomination forms are available here.
The Young Scientist Award was launched in 2019 by the European Magnetism Association (EMA). A list of all the previous EMA awardees can be found here.
We look forward to receiving nominations by January 31, 2027!
