The European Magnetic Association is committed to monitor and improve the carbon footprint of its events. In the past years, the Carbon footprint officers (sustainability.at.magnetism.eu) have quantified the carbon footprint of ESM and concluded that more than 50% of the footprint was originated from the plane travel to and from the school venue.

The mailing list is used for dispatching a monthly newsletter of the European Magnetism Association (EMA) and info on its core events - Joint European Magnetic Symposia (JEMS) and the European School on Magnetism (ESM).
