Ultrafast Magnetisation Dynamics for Future Data Storage

Fully funded PhD position in computational magnetism and ultrafast magnetisation dynamics. The project will develop theoretical and computational models of light-driven ultrafast magnetic switching for future data-storage technologies, with training in high-performance computing and advanced simulation methods. The student will work in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University, the University of York, Radboud University, the University of Manchester, and Seagate Technology. Applications close 7 May 2026
