Scientist: Scalable cryogenic magnetic memory for superconducting and quantum computing

The spintronics research group at Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington in Wellington, New Zealand, is hiring a Scientist to work with us on a 5-year programme to develop cryogenic magnetic memories from the rare-earth nitride series of magnetic semiconductors. The programme will involve both fundamental experimental and theoretical studies of thin film growth and structural, magnetic, electronic and spectroscopic properties of the rare-earth nitrides and their solid solutions; fabricating and testing magnetic memory elements; and integrating them with superconducting electronics. The position is based in Wellington, New Zealand, with our programme involving substantial collaborations in Europe, Japan, Australia and the US.
