In this Editorial, Dennis Meier, and Susana Cardoso de Freitas, President and Vice-President, announce the renewed members of the General Council (GC) and the newly elected ones.
Dear Colleagues and members of EMA,
Every year, we elect new members for the expiring seats on EMA's General Council (GC). This year, we held elections for representatives of twenty European Countries.
The 2026 election for the GC just ended with a voter participation of about 81%. It is with great pleasure that we announce the results in the table below.

We congratulate our renewed GC members and the newly elected ones, and we wish all of them a very successful term in the GC. Their term will start the day of the next GC meeting, which will take place during the INTERMAG 2026 in Manchester, United Kingdom, on April 14th, 2026.
We would also like to use this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to the departing GC members. Thank you for your commitment to EMA, and we hope to stay in close touch with you as EMA ambassadors in the years to come.
