In this November 2024 editorial, Jeffrey McCORD, Officer for awards, opens the call for nominations for the 2025 EMA Young Scientist Award

Dear colleagues, members, and friends of EMA,

The Call for Nominations for the EMA Young Scientist Award for 2025 is now open!

The Young Scientist Award was launched in 2019 by the European Magnetism Association (EMA). The Young Scientist Award is awarded annually to a young scientist for work in the field of magnetism, mainly carried out in Europe. It includes a monetary award of €2000, an invitation to the JEMS 2025 to attend the award ceremony and present a plenary talk, and a travel allowance of €500 for this purpose.

A list of the previous EMA awardees, including recipients of the Dominique Givord Award, can be found here.

Nominations may be made by anyone interested in the field of magnetism. Nominations of female candidates are encouraged. Please note that candidates for the Young Scientist Award may be nominated more than once! All details and nomination forms are available here.

We are looking forward to receiving nominations by 31 January 2025!
