Statement of the Executive Board of the European Magnetism Association about the current situation in the Middle-East
Dear colleagues and friends,
The European Magnetism Association (EMA) promotes the advancement of science both in Europe and internationally and, in so doing, hopes to contribute to the progress of humankind. Ethics, equity and the welfare of our colleagues are guiding principles behind all of our activities and actions. That is why, as individuals and as members of the executive board of EMA, we oppose all conflicts, and are deeply concerned by the intensifying conflicts and loss of innocent lives in the Middle East. We stand in full solidarity with all those who are suffering and sincerely hope that the states and organizations involved in these conflicts will soon make urgent efforts to end the violence. Embracing dialogue, understanding, and cooperation is essential for scientific progress and innovation and, most importantly, for a better future for all of our societies, families, and children.
