PhD & postdoc positions in hybrid magnon–spin-ion quantum systems

The Nanomagnetism & Spintronics group at Aalto University (Espoo, Finland) is hiring doctoral and postdoctoral researchers for a new project coupling magnons and photoluminescent spin ions in a single chip-scale device. Three experimental topics are open: (1) magnon–microwave-photon hybrids with superconducting cavities in 3D magnetic fields; (2) hybrid quantum materials and integrated optical cavities for spin-ion–magnon coupling at millikelvin temperatures; (3) optical multimode-fibre imaging at deep cryogenic temperatures.
