Description of the offer :

The newly established Nanomagnetism Research Group at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics has open PhD and postdoctoral positions in the field of computational magnetism. The project aims at identifying and interpreting novel phenomena in nanoscale magnetic systems, particularly in non-collinear spin structures and magnet-superconductor hybrid systems, concerning both ground-state properties and magnon excitations. By focusing on quantum fluctuations, correlations and topological properties in this system, the goal of the project is to establish the theoretical foundations for future applications at the intersection of spintronics, magnonics and quantum information science. Successful candidates will apply and further develop theoretical methods for studying nanoscale magnetic and magnet-superconductor hybrid systems, and implement these in numerical simulation codes. Interested candidates should send a motivation letter, a CV and the contact information of two references to Levente Rózsa (rozsa@phy.bme.hu).
