A Ph.D. research fellowship in theoretical spintronics is available at the University of Agder, Norway. Spintronics is a technology that exploits the electron’s spin degree of freedom in electronic applications. This research project aims to investigate how electron spin can be harnessed as a coherent quantum degree of freedom to develop novel quantum spintronic devices. Specifically, the project will explore the intricate interplay between spin, magnetism, and superconductivity in heterostructures composed of magnetic and superconducting materials. The position is for three years, with an expected start date in autumn 2026. The application deadline is 18 June.
