Description of the offer :

Scientist with a doctorate in physics or electrical engineering (24-197-QTZC)

Vacancy for permanent position as a research scientist in Berlin, at Germanys National Metrology Institute. The candidate should have a profound knowledge in the fields of low-temperature physics, electrodynamics, superconductivity, electrical metrology, signal processing and cryogenic technologies. Ideally, you have knowledge of and practical experience with non-commercial Superconducting QUantum Interference Device (SQUID) magnetometry and quantum calorimeters such as Transition Edge Sensors (TESs) or Metallic Magnetic Calorimeters (MMCs).
