Memorandum of Understanding signed with the IEEE Magnetics Society

In memory of Dominique Givord (1945 - 2019)

Dominique Givord passed away early this February. He has been a key person in establishing the European community of Magnetism, including the European School on Magnetism, the Joint European Magnetic Symposia and the European Magnetism Association, through which you are receiving this news. Hereby, we would like to draw a short tribute to him.

This November 13-16th, the General Conference on Weights and Measures (CGPM) held in Versailles, officially approved the definition of all seven units in the SI system based on physical constants. The new definition comes into force on 20th May 2019. -
