Fraunhofer IST is dealing with magnetic films for several years. Several coating systems are used with GFS technology for deposition of magnetic materials, especially with gas flow sputtering deposition, a hollow cathode technology operating in coarse vacuum conditions. Besides the deposited films are characterized by magnetometry (MFM, VSM).
