We are looking for a candidate with an outstanding track record to represent the field of experimental solid state physics in research and teaching. An involvement into the research activities of the Laboratory of Advanced Spin Engineering (LASE) at TU Kaiserslautern, as well as in the existing Collaborative Research Centers (in particular SFB-TR 173 Spin+X) is expected. The Department of Physics is centrally involved in five Collaborative Research Centers/Transregios (SFB/TR49, SFB 926, SFB/TRR88, SFB/TRR173, SFB/TR185) as well as in the State Research Center OPTIMAS. Teaching duties are at the usual level and comprise courses within the degree programmes of the Physics Department. On the long term, profound knowledge of the German language is required.
