Location : Grenoble, France
Yearly income :
Expiration : 2026-01-15 [YYYY-MM-DD]
Summary:
As an R&D Engineer will play a key role in advancing Allegro's TMR sensors technology, exploring new materials and physics and pushing the boundaries of sensitivity, linearity, and stability. This role would require to perform simulations, develop measurement setups, carry out experiments and conducting in-depth analysis of TMR materials and devices. Along with strong experimental and simulation skills, this position also requires a deep understanding of the phyics governing TMR devices. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with different teams (materials, process, design, test, reliability, etc.) to drive innovation and improve the performance of Allegro's TMR sensor products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plan and conduct design of experiment to understand the physics governing the TMR response.
• Develop test routines and, if necessary, conceive or modify the necessary measurement setups.
• Analyze data, interpret results, and identify areas for improvement.
• Document research findings, prepare technical reports, and present results at internal and external meetings.
• Perform and refine simulations to predict and describe the behavior of TMR-based sensors.
• Contribute to the development of new TMR sensor concepts and explore novel materials with enhanced magnetic properties.
• Work with cross-functional teams to expand TMR sensors into Allegro's product portfolio.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in magnetic sensing technology and contribute to the team's knowledge base.
Qualifications:
• PhD in Physics, Materials Science, or a related field with a focus on magnetism and spintronics.
• Strong theoretical background in magnetism, spin transport and condensed matter physics.
• Experience in electrical and magnetic characterization techniques for material characterization and device testing.
• Familiarity with computational modeling and simulation techniques, such as micromagnetic simulations or finite element analysis.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Experience with TMR sensor technology is highly desirable.
• Fluency in English is expected to work effectively with our international team. Additional Skills (Preferred):
• Experience with programming languages such as Python or MATLAB.
• Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and fabrication processes.
