Scientist - Development of magnetic RF and spintronic devices

Join the Magnetic Microsystem Technologies (MMT) Reseach Unit under the Microsystems Division at Silicon Austria Labs GmbH and contribute to the development of magnetic RF and spintronic devices. Your future responsibilities: Technology development for RF-based magnetic devices, specifically circulators, from concept to prototype. Collaborate with process engineers to develop magnetic devices fabrication processes in an R&D clean room facility. Microfabrication and prototyping in cleanroom facility from small size samples up to 200 mm wafer level technology. Advanced characterization and testing of developed RF devices (electrical, structural, magnetic, …) Scientific communication, reporting of research results, documentation, generating new intellectual property including patent applications, writing of proposals. Your profile: Master 5 years of relevant working experience/ PhD in relevant field (education in magnetics, spintronics, high-frequency, physics, microtechnology or similar fields) Microfabrication experience in cleanroom, preferably for magnetics-based or RF-based devices Experience in with characterization of magnetic devices; characterization of RF devices is a strong plus Proficiency in English, German is a plus A team player with good communication skills Genuine interest in applied research, industrial applications, and scientific progress Willingness to relocate to Austria/Villach.
